Berbena

Incredible find on this trip to Barcelona. Small restaurant with incredible service. Sommelier on point with his recommendations. We had a selection of starters, mains and cheeses all excellent - the standout dish was the cabbage. Will definitely be back again.

Berbena is a Michelin-starred restaurant — and after our visit, we completely understand why. We first discovered Berbena through recommendations in a book. When we happened to walk by one day, we immediately loved the atmosphere, and after reading the excellent reviews, we reserved a table well in advance. It turned out to be a wonderful decision. We were fortunate enough to be seated at the Chef’s Table, which made the evening even more special. Being able to look directly into the kitchen and watch the team prepare and plate the dishes was fascinating. The level of precision, organization, and finesse behind every plate was truly impressive and gave us an even deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship. And the food — it was truly, truly outstanding. We enjoyed it immensely from the first bite to the last. The menu offers a thoughtful selection of starters, with the option to choose either half or full portions, which is perfect whether you are dining alone or sharing dishes as a couple. This flexibility makes the experience even more enjoyable. There is also a wonderful variety of fish and meat creations, each beautifully composed and full of flavor. Every dish felt refined, balanced, and carefully considered. And of course, the desserts were just as delicious — the perfect ending to an exceptional meal. We also had a lovely exchange with one of the waiters about our favorite wine. Although they did not have it available, he recommended a similar one that suited our taste perfectly and that we enjoyed very much. After about an hour and a half, this fantastic culinary journey came to an end. We would wholeheartedly recommend Berbena and would gladly return on our next visit.

Hands down my favorite place in Barcelona. The food is pure art you can feel the passion of the chefs through every bite. Thank you all, especially Alice, for making this experience memorable. The staff are the friendliest people, making you feel welcomed. À refaire!!!
